Mc1 SPARS produces Highly engineered female moulded spars made from the highest quality Torey fibre and autoclave cured at 120 deg C and 5 bar of pressure. Depending on your style of sailing, we offer three distinct categories to perfectly match your budget and desired performance level. These are classified as standard, performance, and GP. Booms
Female moulded booms from Toray prep preg carbon fibre with Nomex cores autoclave cured.
Racing
High modulus female moulded FEA and FSI studied deep section Nomex cored racing booms. The highest in performance with the lightest total weight , our autoclave cured booms have custom designed ultra light internal and flush fittings for the lowest possible windage, Inboard end windage covers and ultra light vang options and reefing locks, our racing booms will elevate you to the highest level performance.
Furling

Structural mandrel technology
Constant roll technology delivers unseen before sail control, the only mandrel to give a constant roll from the leach to the luff. Our convex mandrel technology matches your luff length and sail build-up due to sail bulking and the leach ith larger mandrel diameters.

Manufacturing
Our masts are Female moulded, autoclave cured at 120 deg and 5 bar of pressure Pre-preg carbon fibre structural pieces of art.
We manufacture using the highest quality materials assembled by highly trained team members and using highly accurate robots and machinery to deliver a precision unparrelleled in this industry.
Your mast tool is made in house using our robots to mill the perfect mast section, thus elimination the need for up to 90% of the fairing compound saving weight and improving aerodynamics and structural performance. We then make a carbon fibre infused female mould tool for the ultimate in shape retention and stiffness giving us highly accurate build process and outputs
Our in-house machinery options include processes for “4-axis CNC tool/plug building, and 3,4 & 5-axis CNC metal machining.”
After exiting our 50m custom made aerospace grade autoclave capable of curing items to 180deg C and at 7 bar of pressure and capable of measuring all of the varables like individual vacume pressure, temperature, atmospheric pressure and temperature along the entire length to the job to ensure the accuracy of the cook recipe and maximum structural properties are achieved in both he resin and the fiber laminats, your product will enter our custom build area.
Our laser guided assembly area will ensure the highest quality and accuracy available, Mc1 SPARS’s custom mast stands lock into our female moulded tool giving a perfectly level and accurate platform for our custom jig to be applied and signed off by the PM and foreman prior to work commencing. All penetrations in the mast are router cut by machine leaving no room for error.
